The two games have literally nothing in common, you're and imbecile

If you bothered to read his whole post, or knew anything about serious pokemon training, you would realize that the comparison he is drawing is actually spot-on. You are an imbecile for judging someone else's opinion on a topic which you don't fully understand.

Don't understand? I've played Pokemon all the way back from red. I know plenty about it , but to compare a turn based training game to a FPS with a huge pve and pvp spectrum, doesn't make sense

Edited by Th3Element05: 5/6/2015 4:25:43 PMThere is a huge difference between the casual "PvE" Story-mode of Pokemon, and the amazingly in-depth and technical "PvP" competitive side of Pokemon, which is what he is comparing to Destiny. I'm not trying to be hostile here, but do you know what EVs are, or IVs? Have you ever bred Pokemon to pass on certain traits like Egg moves, Hidden Abilities, Nature, or IVs? I would call myself a real life Pokemon breeder, and people like me spend hours hatching hundreds and hundreds of the same Pokemon, fighting with RNG to get one that is perfectly just right, then we train that Pokemon to its full potential by battling a certain number of only certain Pokemon. We do all of this in the PvE side of Pokemon, so that we can use them for PvP. This is only a glance at the surface of the true depth of Pokemon, but if you are part of it then you understand, the grind is real. Having spent far too much of my time on Pokemon and on Destiny, the aspects of these games that the OP is comparing are amazingly similar. I just never noticed it myself because they are totally different games on the surface (obviously). Hopefully you understand a little better what the OP meant?

I have done all of this yes both are challenging and a grind but the two games are nothing alike
-
huge pve and pvp spectrum
Implying that isn't exactly Pokemon. If you've played Pokemon PvP competitively, you'd know that the grind is even worse than Destiny.
-
Not even close I've played it and it doesn't compare
-
Then you haven't played competitively.

An* imbecile

They both consist of complete random numbered generators to excite your motive to play. They are so much more alike than you think. Only pokemon might actually take some effort to win at.
-
One simple mechanic doesn't define a game . The gameplay is nothing alike
-
He was never comparing the gameplay. He was comparing the gun collecting to Pokemon collecting.
-
In that case he is still not very accurate
