At least there isn't a mass genocide going on and no slavery and child labor.

Actually people who work full time jobs and dont get paid a liveable wage are considered wage slaves
-
Not by the government. The government classifies them as minimum wage workers or migrant workers. Slave is politically incorrect.
-
The government is the one who imposes the minimum wage so of course they arent going to call it slavery, if you work full time and dont have enough money to buy the basic necessities then by definition thats slavery.

Slaves are paid in food are they not?
Slaves are paid in food are they not?
slave\ˈslāv\ noun : someone who is legally owned by another person and is forced to work for that person without pay

Definition of wage slavery?

Thanks captain obvious. The job market is stabilizing. The reason people cat afford to live off of their low paying job is because they were too lazy to learn practical skills. I'm a sophomore in college and I'm making enough to pay for a significant part of my education. This is how the world works. Everybody is a lazy ass that enjoys complaining that everything around them sucks. If you're interested here is my prediction for the next 4 years of America.
people are going to be stupid and elect another Bush in 2016 which will follow the trend of the previous Bush dynasty and dive America into a new depression.
There would have been slavery if Lincoln hadn't beaten the south.
-
Incorrect. Slavery was abolished in the United States before the civil war was over. If the Union army lost to the confederate army the US as we see it now would be split into the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. That'd be the only real difference.
also props to you for digging up this month old post.
It appeared on latest or highest rated, can't remember. All I've been taught in school about the slave trade was that the south wanted to keep it and the north wanted to get rid of it.

Ah. Simple stuff. Yeah it's more complicated.
