If Bungie were to sell exotic weapons for a cheap price, let's say for $5 you can purchase an exotic like the Hawkmoon or Gjallarhorn would you buy them?
Personally, I'd buy Hawkmoon is there were an option.
Edit: Of coarse you would still have to earn the Vex & Nerco.
Edit 2: For those saying paying to win is wrong, what exactly were you winning in this game to begin with? The reason why the original game was stripped down is because activision wants people to spend more money on content we were promised. Realistically, most people only play this game just to receive an exotic they never had before, why not just speed up the process?

I'd buy hawkmoon but it would ruin the idea of the exotics. They're supposed to be rare.
-
Hmm... Sounds Interesting

3 RepliesEdited by chaissyp: 5/6/2015 2:53:42 PMEverybody says no to micro transactions, but I'm sure you all use the currency you earned to purchase weapons from Xur. BUNGIE TAKE XUR OUT THE GAME, AS YOU CAN SEE THEY THINK ITS A TERRIBLE IDEA!!!

9 RepliesThe dlc provides more than one thing no matter how small. As far as this rumor goes its absurd
-
13 RepliesWhats the point of playing the game if you can just buy the best things the game has to offer?
-
You shut your whore mouth.

10 RepliesExact reason I've lobbied against microtransactions right here!!!!! OP have you ever played Clash of Clans? Built on the pay-to-play approach that you're taking about. The in game economy is shit and competition is terrible unless you pay. Not to mention that buff/nerd decisions and gameplay balance is so hard to maintain without corruption. If you paid for Suros and then they nerfed auto rifles drastically reducing its value...then you bought an icebreaker and once that was saturated they released a nerf that drastically reduced the ammo regen time to like 2 minutes per 4 bullets then tell me you wouldn't cry foul? Or when new exotics became so hard to find that people suggested that they want you to become impatient and just buy it. There wouldn't be any way to stop the flood of suspicious actions. I had a guy on CoC that dropped a shit ton to boost the development of a couple new troop types and he "paid" to upgrade all of his hidden tesla towers to combat a particular enemy type and then they revamped their top-end her character types and nerfed the witches which meant he had paid real money for something that they almost immediately devalued to nothing and he went ahead and spent more money chasing the new best setup that they released. Now all we spend is our initial investment and DLC costs but those are far less frequent than daily pay to play decision. There is no way for a game developer to not focus on more over gameplay. They will be forced by their shareholders to find the highest degree of exploitation and then they'll continue to push that limit. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE IDEA

-
1 ReplyWhat if the Sony exclusives were available to Xbox players via a real money pay system... Then would you buy exotic weapons?
-
No. Microtransactions are the Devil's work.
-
1 ReplyOnly an idiot would spend real money on something in a game that's already easily accessible.

4 RepliesThis is the saddest post ever. "I want something and I want it now! Oooh, I can just buy it? Mommm..."

2 RepliesAfter over 1000 hours, I now have every exotic in the game except Gjallerhorn. If I could stop the grind now, and just have that gun, would it be worth $5 to me? Yes. The question is, would it be worth $50 to me?
