Participate like crazy in the iron banner (don't recommend) or run through the crota's end raid. They'll both provide armor that will max out at 36 light

He will only get the chest price and helmet not all armor that will give 36 light, he will need to participate in the raid anyways.Unless if he wants to wait wait for the next iron banner.

I've gotten helmet from crota for my warlock on normal. I'm going to try to run crota tomorrow to see if I can get another helmet
