Return it to 6 rounds
Replace snapshot with field scout
Just my opinion.

Just put it back to the way it was before the buff. It was already amazing back in the days but required skill.

Edited by iMurklins: 5/3/2015 8:57:52 AMMade more use of the final round perk too, but you had to look at the enemies health when deciding to fire your final round, or run away to reload. The reload speed never bothered me, reload cancel and reload speed gloves helped.

Same here but you just had to pick your shots not carefully. I loved Thorn when it was a niche weapon. These days I don't use it anymore...

Not bad. I don't want to see a nerf, but this actually seems reasonable. I mostly PVE, but am not ashamed to use Thorn in PVP.
-
Wow...thats probably the best post here, a nerf that canbe applied to pvp and pve without ruining it. Kudos to you good sir

That's a very good idea, make the middle tree force you to decide between range, stability, or ammo.
-
Mind if I edit that idea into my post including credit to you?

Edited by iMurklins: 5/2/2015 6:28:06 PMGo for it man, I just don't want bungie mindlessly nerfing it without thought, I don't want my favourite weapon to end up like suros. So instead of just yelling nerf, we should give ideas how to change it.
-
Yeah, I really don't want it to become useless, I think the damage is fine it just needed to be harder to maintain the damage, that way Thorn enthusiasts will still get the same gun, but it will have a higher learning curve, that's why I think if it has to get nerfed, this is a better way to do so than reducing damage by 10-15% like SUROS got.

Edited by iMurklins: 5/2/2015 6:40:27 PMI think that's just it, thorn can shoot fast and far, but what I suggested gives the user a choice of one or the other. The 9 rounds it has makes the final round perk basically useless, and I do miss getting double kills with such a low mag and the adrenalin rush you get when you're in a fire fight with only 2 bullets left, forcing you to be accurate and use the environment, or make a run for it to reload.
