While I don't care too much they could have simply matched you against other people who paid for the maps as opposed to giving it out free. Dunno why they were their own playlist. I love the maps (skyshock not included).

That's what they tried to do with Halo, and it didn't work at all; they made it so that the matchmaker would prioritize matcing you with other players who also had the DLC, but it usually couldn't find enough to fill out the roster. The result was you would probably have at least one person who didn't have the DLC maps, and if that happened, then DLC maps would not come up.

I definitely understand that. There is a huge difference here since the map packs were part of a larger expansion. I have never had problems finding a match. I don't personally know anyone without the DLC either...
