Look at it as a challenge. Even if I don't beat a team of four I like to at least out score them. I play crucible with a group of friends as much as I do solo and rarely do we have a full fire team, but I know both sides of this argument. Man up and play the game. The only way to get better is to play people who are better and who coordinate better. It makes me strive to be better and a lot of the time I get put in my place, but I don't quit. I'd rather be a loser than a quitter.
Not only that but the people who back down from a challenge are the ones that ruin crucible more than fire teams of four or more. It absolutely sucks to be short a couple people because the other team is better.
Everyone loses from time to time Guardian, its how we handle defeat that makes us who we are. Some strive to make sure that doesn't happen again and some hide in the corner. Which are you?

Oh, I can rise to the challenge and beat them. I'll 2kd+ and top score of the game most games. But my allies can't handle it. Randoms mostly don't understand how individual control maps work. And when I go top score multiple games in a row, but still lose... it starts to get old. I can only have so much fun getting the best score each game, but still losing :/

All you really get for winning is a little extra rep, whats the big deal its not like losing is detrimental or something. Also, you are trying to tell me that it isn't ok for a group of people to ruin a crucible game for 5 or 6 people, but you backing out and ruining the game for 5 people that are suppose to be your team and anyone who joins in the losing game. Mmhmm, sounds like a hypocrite if you ask me. How can you ask for a good team when you obviously can't be a good team player?

I back out of 2 teams: the teams in the lobby that have groups of 4+ in them, and in progress games with groups of 4+. The first type of group aren't effected by my back out because the game hasn't started yet. They just continue to search for more players. The second group is already screwed. They've already had possibly multiple people leave the game AFTER it had started and more likely than not, possess one or less zones (very hard to win). So me backing out before entering doesn't effect them that much. Game will just match some other poor solo soul into that in progress game.

You are still backing down from the challenge and someone else gets screwed because of it, not only is someone else going to be dragged into the mess you couldn't handle, but in the time that the matchmaking system is looking for a new player, connecting everyone, and then spawning for the first time, the other team has had all that time a person up to team up on the other team or capture the third flag or something. Backing out of a destiny game mid game is like dashboarding on the 360 to keep your kill death up. I'm probably not gonna post again, but just remember that you might rise to the challenge on occasion, but a true Guardian doesn't back out either. Not unless the old lady wants something, because otherwise you are in the doghouse. A guardian's gotta maintain a good home environment.

Fine, I'll embrace these "challenges" tonight and get back to you on how well I do every game vs how many games I actually win.
