Actually it's Close Quarters Battle. CQC is Close Quarters Combat. They are the same thing though. In the Crucible shotguns rule close quarters. Hand cannons are effective at close range and some pulse rifles can be effective at close range as well. If you want a good close quarters primary The Last Word dominates. In PvE pretty much the same applies. You also need to learn to stay calm and composed. Freaking out is only hurting you.

Oh, in that case, at least in pve, shotguns, after the buff they are very good , with the right burn you can bring down any major/ ultra with two shots....I don't know about pvp, don't play it but by the way shotgun user are hated I say they work well too. Just aim for the face and shoot....
