Why would you buy how if you didnt buy db? DB at least had content? HoW is a joke.

I'm confused. Are you saying that HoW does not have anything in it, or that what it does have isn't worth anything?
-
Think prisons is a great idea, with lower server pop, will make it easier to find groups. Just find it funny how some kiddies act like someone stole their gushers from their lunch bag because there is no raid.
-
How can you judge something thats not even out yet? Your though process is a joke.
-
Can you read? If you can read you can see whats in it. More importantly whats not. If you cant read there are videos.
-
If you are one of those who are just butthurt that theres no raid, try thinking of someone besides yourself.
-
Hello Kitty Island Adventure has no raids. Go get butthurt in that. Destiny was supposed to be a mmo rpg shooter. Those have raids. Fanboys will defend these idiots forever.
-
What has raids? All the destiny games? This isnt and mmo however much you want it to be. Im no fan boy, just giving credit where credit is due. They game is not even a year old and you cry foul because they dont give you what you want. No one was told or promised a raid, even if they said there would be we all signed a ULA saying they can change content on a whim. Correct me if im wrong, you said you could read correct? Maybe you should have read that.
-
I would say its a mmo just not a mmorpg its a mmofps with some rpg aspects added in.
-
It's some kind of hybrid of a lot of things. In my opinion i don't think it qualifies as an mmo because you can't have more that a dozen people in the same area and thats only the tower.
-
Besides the argument going on, Since it is not an MMO. Why are we calling these "expansion" packs, expansion. They should be called dlc or add on's right? Only mmo's give expansion packs.
-
Where does it say mmos only get expansion passes? What's the difference between all of those? It's the same no matter what its call.
-
Well yea there servers arnt very large so i agree to a point most mmos can have anywhere from 150 to 250 like it use to be in rs and that was years ago so this is pretty diffrent and there problem is that they have so many different serevers for everything like pvp and pve and even basic things like orbit and tower.they need a upgrade
-
So basically you a judging a book by its cover. They haven't released and info on PoE or Trials of Osiris, more or less the rest of the HoW. If you honestly think you already know what the expansion hold then you are part of the problem. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
-
I know its all 3 players max. Is that wrong?
-
Oh man, you are just bursting with information. What else do you know? Perhaps that only a small percentage can or attempt the raid because it can take 6 people. Personally I've played since day one and are welcoming the 3 player coop.
-
Because it sounds like HoW is going to have more PvE content, which is what I enjoy and opening up the reef with new bounties and such.
-
Score: Boomer = 1 point for thinking, 1 point for rationally stating position Pack3rs = -1 for knee-jerk posting as if any content details of HoW have been release except "prison instead of raid." Final: Boomer 2, Pack3rs -1 Aaron Rogers is ashamed.
-
Also, my understanding is that the raid is coming later and won't cost anything if you've already purchased HoW. I get that people want the raid now, but saying there is "no raid" isn't technically true.
-
They said raid later, and I also hope it will not cost extra, but they have not gone so far as to say that. So a lot of folks are thinking the silence means the raid will cost a few bucks as stand alone DLC or be part of the "comet" mega-expansion expected to cost sixty bucks later this year. If they charge for content, I will decide if it is worth it to me and vote with my wallet. But I am glad for new things to try in HoW and they did not rush to get a raid in there like buggy linear uncreative Crota.
-
I swear I read that the raid was going to be free. May have been the wishful thinking of another poster. I truly HATE paying for DLCs. I think new content should cost money, but I, personally, hate paying for new shit on a game I've already bought. I know that sounds like a contradiction, I can't help that. Plus, the DLCs seem overpriced. Another $60 may be enough for me to shelve the whole thing.
-
The content of TDB was a letdown, but I rationalize the expansion pass by total spent vs. Total hours played across all of Destiny. Pennies per hour, and I have not even played the HoW I paid for. But in the back of my mind I am troubled that the first $20 bought me TDB, with four hours of content on recycled maps. No more pre-purchase for me. I want to know what I am buying so I can vote with my wallet.
-
I don't know, I hate spending more money on new content for an old game. I totally understand that it SHOULD cost money, I just don't buy them.
-
I hate spending money, so totally agree you get to use your discretion. I don't think that there are many games I have purchased expansions for. Mass Effect 3 and this. So I only buy for a game I really like and am all consumed by (play time wise) when the DLC hits. Otherwise, I am right there with you. Expansions seldom add enough to make me want to buy them instead of a new game where everything is fresh, instead of an expansion to add a candy or two to a game that is getting stale.
-
$60 for Comet just seems really high. Like it should be a whole new game for that price. But is it, that's the question. But hell, I've paid $60 for a game, beat it in a couple of nights and never played it again. That wasn't worth it.
-
Keep telling myself to stop buying games at release for full price. I don't game enough anymore that I need them! I have some still in shrink wrap, so why shouldn't I wait for a price drop? I did well for awhile. Kept to month old out older games, $40 purchases. "A new Bungie game? I love Bungie!" Preorder. Expansion pass for a Bungie game? Preorder. "A new Halo eventually?" Not a Bungie game anymore, but preorder. Gotta get strong again. Stop buying these books just based on the imprint on the cover.
