I would rather it was just another game mode. Not a replacement for raid activity and have all the modes tie in to the gear set.

It's not a replacement per se as bungie did say we'll be getting the raid later on

Its not a HoW raid though.

You don't know that yet though. For all we know, the raid could drop 2 months after and in-game be labeled as part of HoW. We won't know till release or a more detailed announcement
