I think You're over reacting to some initial matches you played post patch when you already had bad feelings about the patch from reading about it. I completely disagree that the overall flow of the match goes flat around special ammo. Are there some people that crate camp special ammo now? yeah, but I haven't noticed large groups of people waiting 30 seconds for special ammo either. There really is still plenty of special ammo available especially if you use armor with ammo perks. The change literally just makes it so you cannot use only a special weapon the entire match. You just have to pick and choose which situations you will need a that shotgun/sniper/fusion rifle the most. Granted I have never been one to use a special weapon the over entire matches and my ratio on kills is roughly 2:1 in favor of primary weapons over special. But even on maps like shores of time on control where I primarily snipe during the entire match I have yet to have a big issue with having special ammo when I need it.
