Not really. Felwinters lie has toned down quite a bit, especially with the special ammo nerf. But because of the slow fire rate, shotguns like Hide and seek, two to the morgue and secret handshake with rangefinder or shot package can shoot twice before a Felwinters can shoot once. If I blink up generally speaking, any shotgun can beat a Felwinters lie.
im curious to know if your Felwinters lie can really beat a sniper though...
Haven't had a chance to play crucible since the update went live.
I currently have two Fellwinter's.
One is return to sender, hammer forged, shot package. Tried using it. Usually could go 1v1, but multiple enemies was a problem.
The other is return to sender, hammer forged, full auto. People who say Fellwinter's is slow firing have not seen a full auto perked one.
If I had a third is wonder if return to sender, field scout, full auto might be the new "perks to get" for the shotgun enthusiast. Less range, but more ammo.
If I use blink yes I can kill a sniper I do it all the time, the ammo capacity isn't a problem. Mine has field scout and even though most people can get a shot of before me they don't because they aren't close enough. If I aim for the head I get them when they're charging.
My point was that the Felwinters lie doesn't always beat a weapon long range. Last word or thorn or any faster-ish rof hand cannon can take down a shotgun user pretty damn easily
