Special ammo is now used primarily in special circumstances... Who knew?

Reading comprehension.
Yet the nerf also hits the worse specials the worst.
It's not about not being able to use the specials as a primary. It's about nerfing the bad specials because people complained about the best ones.

Well, If you choose to use a poor special weapon, you kinda deserve it. That's like me running into Crotas end with an uncommon assualt rifle, and expecting to do damage.
-
Because obviously the bad specials deserved a nerf. The variety Bungie wanted is going to be even more reduced than it was before. If you're going to nerf a whole slot and all it's weapons equally, then it'll be a much bigger hit on the worse guns. I used this as an example before:
Felwinter's is rated at 90/100, there's another random shottie that's 40/100 If there's a big nerf that affects all weapons equally, worth 30 points. What will be left of those two? Felwinter's would drop down to 60/100. Not too bad. But just look what happens to the gun that was already worse to begin with, 10/100. No reason to use it anymore. At all. It's just not worth it and not capable of much now. It was ok before the patch. Now it's crap. Felwinter's was awesome. Now it's only decent.
I don't believe they reduced damage or range though. So that example makes absolutely no sense. In fact, the last update would have been more noticeable in that regard. Not the one we just got. You're using internet explorer aren't you?

The ammo nerf affected all the specials. Do you know what kind of weapons suffer from the lack of ammo? The ones that take more shots to kill and are not as powerful.

They usually get more ammo because they have a larger reserve size. And faster RoF.
