I was able to find all the dead ghosts after patch. I'll have to post a video if u guys really want it

I think you lose the Grimoire of you get the Ghosts early. I got all the Ghosts from Seraphim Vault and Chamber of Night and didn't get any cards or points

My grimoire jumped from 2750 to 2770 picking up only the dead ghosts in the terminus
