You really think your Monte Carlo can hurt me, peasant!?
..Decided to level up my Monte Carlo by grinding a few Roc strikes. It appears even the enemies don't think much of this weapon.

2 RepliesI just started lvling mine, stick to the crucible. It's marginal but you can get kills. How I wish I'd experienced it before it shot unicorn kisses.

I found it to be rather good in the crucible - plenty of kills using it. In PvE its effectiveness is mixed.

No backup plans+Monte Carlo+defender class=unlimited force barrier. Use it in the abyss or even in VoG.

13 RepliesIf I may sir? the thing with monte and Hard Light is that people are not using them as their stats suggest... Hard Light is my absolute favourite weapon in the game! both these weapons are 'suppression' tools not killing arms imo?!? they operate more like smg's- very low impact and stopping power. they are great enablers for the rest of my loadout. in crucible for example I will empty half a clip at mid-range (yes mid-range) then sharply switch out for the kill. even though I've gotten kills with Hard Light/Monty I know they WILL more than likely lose 1v1 against top tier but that is the style I like to play. I know you're speaking about Monte specifically, but it is what it is- a killer it is not... seek elsewhere if you intent to do serious damage on your primary.

I have fun with it on my titan. I set my titan up with: Gift of Light (All melee kills create orbs while force barrier is active), Relentless (Increases strength and duration of force barrier), Blessing of Light (shield bubble), and throw on the Helm of Saint 14. Its an all out punch fest. You can create orbs that rival a sunsinger. Just keep punching away and use monte carlo to charge it back up.

1 ReplyMonte Carlo is a low impact Auto Rifle with an exotic perk that grants u a chance of instant recovery of melee ability. Does not do well for boss fights but fun as hell if u are a Gun Slinger with double flaming throw daggers... i threw so many daggers while i fire away on my Monte Carlo was just so fun. Less fun on Titan but equally fun with Warlock's double melee with Craws exotic on.

its actually a pretty good gun in pvp, even after patch, if you know what youre doing had like 40kills with just the gun (and some melees ofc)

4 RepliesMontecarlo and Hardlight are the best weapons in crucible to do the 50 assits bounty. Can have it finished in 2 or less likely 3 matches.

You must not be doing it right. It's not a scout rifle, but it is perfect for pouring bullets into heads in precise 36-round streams. It's my favorite thing ever. (But facing competition from Suros, now.)

8 RepliesThe monte carlo is rly a sad story. I love the gun but you'd be better of pissing at your enemy... Crucible, 56 rounds gives maybe 1 kill if the target doesn't move. Most of the times it goes like this. me: aim at target and start firing Target: runs abit, reloads, turns around , 2shot kills me with thorn and has 25+% hp left .... me: switch out Monte

If you're going to use Monte Carlo, use hard light instead. Higher damage and more stability.
