Because crashing a Pelican into and storming the Citadel solo was such a brilliant plan.

The only man capable of that ( and it working out OK) is THE master chief And the other guy...but there's other threads for him

Edited by Smarkdow: 4/16/2015 8:32:08 PMWhere the hell were the reinforcements? Why did Miranda decide to go solo and take on everyone by herself, when she knew the Chief would be there in a few minutes? Why would she even attempt to dual-wield a Magnum and Shotgun, risking breaking her wrist? Why did Miranda hesitate to shoot Johnson when he instructed her to do so, when the fate of the galaxy was at stake and she knew that? If Johnson was intending to die there, then why didn't he just jump off the Citadel through the Pelican-size hole the window after Miranda was killed? Why did he lose all hope after Miranda died when ten seconds before he instructed her to off herself after killing him? Why am I asking all these questions?

Or just used the Pelicans weaponry.
-
But no, we have to save Johnson because of reason.
-
Even though using the Pelican's weaponry would save him, but crashing through window for cool factor is better

Miranda was a super duper secret spartan. She can withstand the kickback of a shotgun by holding it in one hand.
