If anyone is actually excited for this take a dip in the roc playlist. The first half of every strike is you and 2 others killing waves of adds. We've all already played this game mode.

Edited by TeslaDoc: 4/14/2015 1:29:34 PMIn horde mode the waves never stop until you are all dead. The waves get harder and harder. The skill is being able to stay alive the longest. It should be a trackable stat that you can brag about.

Your point is? That doesn't make it fun, or even worth playing. A raid would give us fresh enemies and mechanics, this is just what we've been doing since day 1.

Enemy waves are the same size and number in every raid so far. There are a limited number as well.

No there won't be new mechanics, horde mode is just gonna be endless confluxes which is the worst part of the raid. A proper raid would give us more sections like the gatekeepers that require more thought than "shoot the aliens in the face" no matter how many waves they throw at as and how difficult it is it's just gonna be "shoot aliens in the face" freaking cod extinction mode has more depth. Just let that sink in

It's Fallen. Confluxes are Vex.

Horde modes are usually waves of enemies of increasing difficulty and sometimes round modifiers. You don't get that in strikes. Same level and, if not nightfall or heroic, you get no modifiers. Also, trashing on something that isn't even out yet is dumb. If you are a fan of raids, you can at least be happy that they are release a raid later in the year. And more time spent on development = better end game content.

You think I didn't know that? Sorry but artificial difficulty in the form of higher number shouldn't excite any one. As for the modifiers I've ran nightfalls and weeklies since launch and quite frankly I'm tired of modifiers. The raid mentioned will not be free, obviously we don't have any information from Bungie, but it's common knowledge that the comet is being released around September, so the raid in question will most likely be apart of that.
-
First, no one said the difficulty will be artificial in the form of increasing number of enemies. They could just as easily increase level or even overall damage output from enemies. Seems you're just assuming the worst. Second, they never said the raid wasn't going to be free. Remember how destiny launched without anyone being able to touch VoG, but it was then released months later? This is just as likely to happen again. But then again, we are only guessing. Finally, it doesn't even seem like you wish to even hope for a bright future for Destiny when you act like this about content that isn't even out yet. If you dislike the game, or came to resent Bungie's choices, you should just move on. It's unhealthy to dwell on things if you have much distaste for them.
-
I'm sorry, but with Destiny, ALWAYS assume the worst. That is all.
-
So you are saying you're one of those people that always thinks negatively about a product, thus poisoning the community further? Lol. kDen.

Yeah, I guess I'm just not satisfied with their best in this game. They've done great things before. I hope they can exceed my expectations but plan for the worst. That's how I am in real life too. 36 years and never been happier. I don't feel that I'm being too toxic. I don't believe I've posted hurtful things to anyone. But to each their own.

First, you misunderstood me. More enemies would actually be fine a a target rich environment would make things legitimately more difficult. Artificial difficulty, would be raising the levels of enemies so the same dreg you just killed is now more powerful for no reason. That system means your level will matter more than you skill. Secondly, day one player here the VoG was originally planned as part of the main game but as Bungie wasn't finished they released it ONE WEEK later. This is completely different as nothing has been promised to us for free. Oh yeah, obligatory statement about you being a Christmas noob.
