Wrong. Unsettled science aside this is far too intrusive, the government should not be taking away tax credits from parents who chose an alternative lifestyle. The Aztecs didn't have any of the diseases we get, why? They cleaned themselves and high cleanliness standards, it's not proven vaccines actually help, as well as the government should not discriminate against a group who is not proactively harming anyone.
Edit: my point isn't let's live like Aztecs and have a society like them it was just showing a successful alternative lifestyle. My main point is that the government is overstepping their boundaries with a move like this.

Do you want poop to be your downfall? Me neither.

Also they literally didn't even have a quarter of the diseases that we have today
-

Edited by The Fallen Zyzz: 4/15/2015 7:16:13 PMThe Aztecs only thrived because they lived in a closed off society. They became naturally immune to the fairly tame diseases that they had around. When the Spanish showed up, a lot of natives died of influenza and small pox because their immune systems couldn't handle it. Now, with global trade, travel and commerce, we need to be immunised so that we don't get sick and die en masse whenever something spreads.
-
And so let's all fix that with vaccines made from the disease we don't want yaaaay! (Sarcasm)
-
That's the general idea of a vaccine. By introducing a controlled strain of a disease to our bodies, our immune system can adapt and become better suited to defend against that disease.
-
.... Didn't many natives die do to the exposure of European diseases...
-
Which is my point
-
I hope you get measles then try scrubbing it off with soap and water.
-
If I got measles I wouldn't use a vaccine either. A good hygienic society would prevent many diseases in the same herd protection that vaccines use
-
A good hygienic society would prevent many diseases in the same herd protection that vaccines use
...until they're exposed to a foreign disease.
-
Read the edit. But yes you're right, vaccines wouldn't help though.
-
You're right, they wouldn't. Vaccines aren't a cure, they're a preventative measure. Once you get [disease x] a vaccine won't help you.
-
because there's no where else that bacteria can mutate...
-
Hygiene is preventative healthcare like vaccines, but in my opinion safer. However read my edit on the OP
-
I suppose you believe vaccinations give people autism aswell.
-
There are reported cases of such, not on a large scale but to say they're not rare side effects is ignorant
