I agree with you and Im a PVE player mainly. Pretty sure my KD is below one and I almost never stray into crucible. I have never cried nerf nor will I. But heres the problem and it leads to the nerf complaints of others, Bungie has forced PVE players into crucible with IB and exotic bounties. This ofcourse inflates the number of people playing PVP, but it degrades the quality of gameplay. Match that with poor P2P connection and no banning of "switchers" and the PVE player naturally feels the crucible is unbalanced (which honestly it is, but because of level design not weapons). The real fix for this will never be done by Bungie because Activision wont let them. But to really give a good PVE and PVP experience they have to be made mutually exclusive. No exotic bounties with PVP aspects, stop rotating the play modes (CA,Salvage, etc), setup dedicated servers and monitor connectivity rates. Bungie wont do it because they don't want their PVP percentages to go down (last shown to be around 17% of playtimes). Bungie would lose a lot of their supposed "Hot Fixes" issues they say they are working on for us and therefore would appear to not be doing anything. Which would cause people to move on quicker, PvP patching is quicker and easier to do based on the relative fixed variables of crucible matches. This way they can say they are listening and appear to be making the game better, but really its carrot on a stick time. They refuse to fix the major problems that granted are mostly on the PVE side or to develop more events and content to keep the PVP inept out of the crucible. They will not establish dedicated servers (atleast not during this games lifetime) because its an increase in cost and manpower, plus if something is laggy in P2P Bungie can just say it has nothing to do with them. Anyway my rather long point is, while I agree nerfing of any weapon was bad and never should have occurred. The blame is only partially on the player complaining, the real blame is on bungie for making the different modes co-dependent on each other. Cheers

I don't think people should be making as big of a deal as I've seen be made about Bungie "forcing" anyone into PvP. The only thing you need to do IB for is the shaders. You can get the same quality gear from raids, so you don't need to do IB for gear or weapons. As far as bounties goes, the only ones I've done are the Thorn, and Super Good Advice (which didn't even need to be done in PvP). The Thorn bounty took me 13 matches. The SGA took me a while, cause I was dependent on heavy ammo, which I don't like to camp the spawns for. To say that Bungie is "forcing" anyone to play PvP is a bit of a stretch. Looking at the list of Exotic weapon bounties: Bad Juju: 10,000 points in PvP. Hunter and Titan kills and assists are 25pts each, warlocks are 75pts each. That's roughly 150 kills or assists. Most people get 10+ kills in a game, plus 2-9 assists. It's not gonna take that long, but is probably the longest PvP bounty. Pocket Infinity: No PvP Requirements. Thorn: 500pts with void weapons or abilities. Not too hard if you're a warlock. Basically you make progress on the bounty as long as you have a 0.4kill/death ratio, meaning you could get 2 kills, die 5 times, and still make progress as long as you're using void weapons. With a 1.0kill/death ratio it would take 166 kills, which is 17 games. Probably the hardest PvP bounty, but it's only ~20 games. Invective: Earn a +25 kill death spread. Key word, spread. You only need to go +25, and assists count, across multiple games. This is 100% possible in 1 match, even easier in 2 matches, and extremely easy the more games you play. Your Kill+Assist/Death (KDA) ratio has to be above 1, which is extremely easy even if you're primarily PvE based. Super Good Advice: No PvP Requirements. Fate of all Fools: Win 5 PvP matches, and later kill sprees with Scout Rifles. 5 PvP match wins isn't hard, even if you're really bad, it's a team game and your team will be able to help and win you some games. Kill sprees with Scout Rifles is rough, but you just gotta play like you would against a boss, sit back and pick your shots, don't try to get a spree 1v3'ing shotgunners at point blank. Of the 6 Exotic Bounties, 6 of them require PvE and only 4 of them require some PvP, and of those 4, 2 you can do in ~5 games, and the other 2 in less than 20. And let's be honest, there's no gun on this list that you NEED. Each one has a counterpart that is available outside of PvP as a drop that is just as good. Red Death for Juju, TLW for Thorn, any legendary shotgun can go even with Invective, Gjallarhorn over SGA, and MIDA over FoaF. TL;DR: The only reason people feel they NEED to do PvP is because they want(not need) a gun that has some PvP requirements, not because it is essential to the game.
