I had never done a hard reset in the time I had it, over a year, and when my games started crashing some friends told me to do one, it's working fine now.

Yeah the hard reset/clear cache thing fixed the bug with the loss of audio. The fan thing didn't happen again...still wondering why that happened but it seems to be fixed now
