The question is why don't the vex send them selves back in time and stop the traveler from being created

It would create a paradox, if the vex went back in time and somehow destroyed the Traveler, then the Traveler wouldn't exist in the present. As a result, the Vex would have never gone back in time in the first place. Look up the Grandfather Paradox if you want more info

I''ve thought about this affect. This also means any time traveling that changed the future intentionally would create a paradox. Assuming you can change the future though, what has stopped the vex from doing so? Is making yourself a universal law more powerful than destroying everything before it starts?

Ah see, now you have to think about how the Traveler was created. What exactly is it made of. Where was it created, for all we know, it could be only a probe from an even further advanced species in another universe!!! Perhaps there are travelers everywhere...
