Dark Souls 2 SOTFS Q&A/Help
This thread is for anyone who needs help or want's to just chat about Dark Souls 2 in any way shape or form!
If your new to the soul series
[spoiler]The DS series are games that literally warn you "prepare to die". They are challenging games that will make you think in a different way than other games as well as possibly making you cry(lolz). There is no map, you are on your own trying to figure out where to go, while learning mob/boss move sets, llvling up and progressing through the game. In DS2 there are many different weps and spells to use for many varieties of play styles. All in all if you don't end up raging it is a fantastic game that will give you many hours of play time![/spoiler]
If you played the original
[spoiler]DS2 SOTFS will make you fall in love with the game yet again. Their are new mob/Chest/Item placements. All 3 DLCs are included with the game. You can have up to 6 players in one session(perfect for fight clubs). More NPCs to summon, to help you in your world.And more of what we all love, petrified statues in random places. Definitely many hours of gameplay to relive yet again.[/spoiler]

5 RepliesI'm trying to remake my original DS2 character but I can't get anyone to summon me for boss fights, and when they do I hardly do any damage, I have a +5 bastard sword pretty early in the game. I'm using the same spot I did on the original character to place the summon sign, it seems like there's less players on the current gen, I haven't even been invaded.

Outside of that, soul memory determines matching. As for the actual "meta", most people agree on somewhere between 150-200. Personally, I just aim for 200, considering 150 is only good for RoBFlynn builds, which I despise with a passion. Really though, you can stop leveling whenever you feel like it, I just ask you don't become a level 387 havelmonster.

I need 30 to max out the Sun Bro covenant and get the last miracle I need to get the last achievement. I've been summoned maybe 5 times in 3 hours. Idk if my soul memory is too high, or what. I'm on ng++ and my SM is like 13 million. I'm getting pretty frustrated. If anybody has any advice it would be appreciated.

6 RepliesI can't do pvp because when I summon it says the sign disappeared. "Summoning failed. The sign has disappeared" I've been trying for a while.

I got SotFS now, it's taking forever to download, I finally feel good in Dark Souls and now everything is changing, which is good of course, learning Souls two times over is double the fun. Anyone know where the Hiede Lance is in SotFS? It's my favorite weapon and I can't live without it.

8 RepliesI thought that the smelter demon and the executioner chariot would be tough from everything I've heard about it, I got them both first try. Should I not have knocked the chariot off, would it have dropped something? Where's a good source of titanite chunks and twinkling? I want to upgrade my lance and sun sword but I have no materials. Also the Sunlight Spear is disappointing, it takes up two slots and doesn't do as much damage as I would hope... any way to make it better without wearing rings?

DKS2 was a great game PvP wise I feel in some aspects, but the pve was meh. I hope DKS3 has a better pve and that they take away insta backstabs like in DKS2. I'm cool with instant riposte but insta backstabs are terrible. Oh, and no more SM HYYYPE
