Man, maybe if we could build our own weapons, ships, and sparrows then all those materials we have could have some meaning. It's like crafting was a thing before launch (see old sparrow and ship grimoire cards that used to have a ships built stat) but they pulled back.

Could very well be true. Even at e3 we saw what looked like custom gun skins, leading me to believe that this is very possibly already in the works for destiny's future. It can't come soon enough!
