This is the best destiny idea I have ever read! Please make this a thing, with careful moderation and balancing of course

  • A good start is that created weapons can't exceed exotic status, the base stats have to be within the realm of what an actual legendary weapon would be. As for perk upgrades, there are 7 columns of upgrades for a legendary. The first being 3 optional selections for sights/barrels/bullets, nothing crazy just allowing you to use your favourite scope or barrel mod. The second is an ability perk (let's say its level 1) you could only have lv1 perks in a lv1 slot, and the lv1 perks wouldn't be anything too crazy. The next is damage which would stay the same. Then comes the 3 slot perk selection, I think this is where it'll get interesting because players can choose 3 perks that they can switch to whenever! This would allow you to customize a gun that would be perfect for pve and pvp. The next perk would be the big one, costs a lot but nothing that you wouldn't expect a legendary to have. Then damage for the next two. The more I think about it the clearer it becomes, these forums can be a beautiful place without all the noise.

  • They can't even balance the weapons as they are and you expect them to implement this and keep it balanced?

  • These wouldn't be in the exotic category, which is really the only weapon class that can be considered unbalanced I feel
