A lot of things when something is new in your inventory I make sure to scroll over it so it doesn't shine.
I make sure my materials are in order of the planets that you visit. Earth, moon, etc.
Make sure all exotics are before a legendary.
The one that bothers me the most is not having the full yellow outline around an ungraded weapon. Dismantled my 3rd black hammer because I got it after the patch and so it didn't have the outline and bothered me so much.
