Earning your weapon properly.
I just soloed the entire Thorn bounty, and I soloed The Summoning Pits and killed Xyor. Now I have Thorn.
THAT is earning a weapon. Not getting an RNG drop from some random activity.
Fite Mi M8. Now continue.
Edit: Stop saying that it's easy to solo it. You know it isn't, you don't have to gratify yourself. I'd rather just have some fun with this thread instead of a huge bragging competition.
Edit 2: Well seeing as this thread is quickly becoming another one of 'those serious threads', I may as well chuck out a serious point. While [b]recieving[/b] the bounty is up to RNG, actually performing the tasks required is what constitutes the earning part. After all, if getting the weapon was RNG, I guess that means controlling your character, firing a weapon etc. would be up to RNG. (Still wouldn't mind having a fun thread :D)

I earned my shit by virtue of that regardless of wether or not I spent hours playing and cheesing half of it just to say " I earned mine bla bla bla". Sorry bra. Get over it

So no, its exactly the same as getting a random drop at the end of a nightfall or something. (If any, its even easier, since everyone has a fairly high chance to get te bounty). Any other rng dropped item also requires "work". This bounty just lets you do a few things (all easier than a nightfall) one after another. Stop fooling yourself, its a game, you dont "earn" anything.

I got the bounty two weeks ago late at night woke up soloed everything like you did in the thorn bounty without any help from friends not even in crucible and beat the entire bounty in one day

I agree with this post. Although exercising the patience waiting and hoping for rng to give you something good is daunting. The invective bounty is almost as bad as thorn if you suck at pvp like me. But I got through it and thorn is next.

Well, I also solo'ed it, and agree it ain't easy, and yes, I thiught this post was complaining about xûr and how a random drop is somehow earning somthing, but exotic bounties are yes, the way to [b]EARN[/b] stuff :)

And yes the bounties are the only real earned weapons in the game. Thorn most of all as it's the hardest. Calling SGA earned would be a push ha ha.

first time i did xyor it was a twat with two people, not so bad the second time but i still wouldn't fancy soloing it. maybe if sat in the back room perhaps but even then you could still get bitch slapped by all the wizzards.
