You have to play the first one man, if you're not super picky on visuals (graphically it's very dated). Not many games, if any, has matched it's depth both in combat and story.

I know, I am in minority but.... No but in all seriousness I do want to check it out its on my ashamed I haven't played yet list. I know it's an old game (I don't mind that), I need to get a new PC my laptop's dead :((

Unfortunately I've only played human revolution. I thought the story was cool but the gameplay was so slow. You basically had to be stealthy the whole game, wasn't too big a fan. But judging from that announcement trailer it seems much more action oriented. It might be a must buy.

That was one of the things I disliked about Human revolution most. Invisible war I felt I was able to choose two paths in any encounter, stealth or action. Veterans I know dislike invisible war but this and the Chronicles of Riddock on Xbox Original introduced me to a different type of genre. Yes I played MGS and here comes the heresy, not my thing. Gameplay is decent but if I wanted to watch a movie I would, it's brilliant how Kojima can tell a story and set an atmosphere but I couldn't get into it. Sorry Solid Snake (b.net user).

Thank you yes. I enjoyed this on the Xbox Original. I know veterans prefer the first game, I haven't played that one. I bought the last Deus Ex and didn't like it at all, tried to get into it but couldn't. Hopefully the new one can return to former glory Imho.

Hmm. Well, there's an unusual opinion on the series. You can always live in hope, but HR was a critical and commercial success: it got 89% on Metacritic and sold nearly 3 million units a few months after release.
