Yes. If they are all in one group the chat will be available to all members.

Do you have experience with this? Does it get hard to decipher?

No, I just use DestinyLFG.net to find groups. I don't belong to an active clan. Mine has like 5 members and we don't do anything. But I do know that being in some groups that have members across all platforms, even non Destiny players, I can see all of their posts in the group chat. The simple solution is to state your console when you send a message.
