Depends but having looked any over 250Gb will do as the X1 formats it itself.

  • Sorry it must have been my wording any HD OVER 250Gb is X1 compatible. Wasn't suggesting getting a 250Gb HD just that any you find NEEDS to be over 250Gb for the X1
