I assume you left the clan, not the group. For me I can go to bungie.net, select the group, interact, user interactions - leave.
Maybe try joining and leaving again?
I just tried it on a random group and I could leave just fine.

Thanks for the reply it made me aware that I was unclear in my opening post. I am talking about groups. I never joined a playstation clan other than my own. Also, I am not asking how to leave, I am asking[b] how to unfollow[/b] them.

Ah, i now see that group as followed on my mobile app. If I go to the group on my app, select menu I can unfollow.
