Custom weapon/armour shaders. So like a white engram drops and you pick it up to reveal a "shader base", you take this back to the tower and give it to eva levonta (idk her name) to reveal your very own, CUSTOM SHADER! The shaders could have different lvl ones like a rare, legendary, exotic base for different colour palettes.
And a request for unique gun models, they all look the same.

I don't know if this could work. I don't know how the game was built but with my own knowledge of 3D modelling (I used to do 3D illustration and modelling) and seeing how different shaders work on the different armor sets currently in use, it seems likely to me that each and every armor piece has been designed specifically for each and every shader, individually. I say this because if you notice, sometimes a shader will colour parts of an armor piece purple, (for instance), wheras other shaders may not seperate different armor 'bits' - some might colour the entire piece purple. I don;t think I'm explaining myself well... What I mean is, say there's a pocket, and a belt, on one set of leggings. Let's say we have 2 shaders, both purple and red, but you know, different shaders. One shader might colour the pocket purple and the belt red. The other shader will colour both of them purple... So it seems that the pocket and the belt aren't labelled in the backend as the same colourable element. Which suggests then that Bungie have a team of designers that have spent a lot of time working out the colour schemes for every single armor item on every single shader.
