I disagreed with the bulk of the fanbase about Halo 4. And I'm extremely psyched up for Halo 5. I agree with the thrust of your point that Halo 5 is probably going to be pretty different, and the Locke-Chief dynamic is, while reminiscent of the Arbiter-Chief one from Halo 2, going to be something very interesting.

    I liked Halo 4 as well. It feels more like a story than running around and killing stuff and leaders and calling that a story. There's actual character dev and crisis. I guess it just seems more like legit literature than some of bungie's works. I get the impression 343 is trying to deepen the story much more than Bungie ever did. I don't always appreciate the ways they do it or even what they do, but I'm glad 343 is working with what they've got and expanding the story.
