I don't think that Radiance is necessarily "unfinished." Sunsinger does precisely what you say it's supposed to - provide a defensive/semi-supportive counterpart to the fast-paced offensive Voidwalker.

  • But sadly it is and will always be abused as a offensive ability because no one specs into the supportive ability, and the ability itself promotes grenade spamming. Its funny the super itself does not even count as a super kill. To tell you the truth I'm not attacking warlock but I do believe they are inherently broken from a class standard, they have too many positives and not enough negatives compared to the titan and hunter

  • They are balanced by the fact that in super they can be incredibly high damage and tanky, but they have very little armor and very low mobility (jump/speed) outside of the super.

  • i agree with little mobility but if you look at the stats hunters have the lowest armor, warlocks have the lowest speed and titans have the least recovery. this breaks the mold as to why a class has both the second best armor and the best health Regen if its not a supportive class why would we need the warlock to survive the longest if we only had PVE? i feel with the addition of PVP people tend to compare supers roles that way which is not the right way. here is a good way to describe it, during an atheon we have the hunter who has the option to golden gun oracles for quick clean up, the titan defender for a boost in damage or a quick defensive measure, and the warlocks .... self-rez, throw grenades that bosses move away from, and throw a large void projectile at a minotaur if they have it ready? seems to me this class was not meant to be offensive.

    You can't just look at VoG encounters though. Throw on song of flame during deathsinger and tell your team it is active to throw grenades. It's offensive ability is incredibly flexible. I think you must have experience with people or yourself using radiance exclusively. This isn't the case with higher skilled players.

  • if were going purely but the disaster that is crotas end which was a rushed product no matter how you look at it whats better long term on crota spaming crota with grenades which if you want it to be most effective you better have you discipline at 100% and have the HOPF for maximum effects but this would be case by case for normal mode self revive is unimportant for all regards as you team can pick you up and you can be happy and go spam grenades forever however come hard mode most moment may not require it but indefinitely if your tossing grenades at crota instead of firring rockets everyone is going to look at you funny, but if say sun singer had the power to make everyone along with themselves have increased ability power and speed i think people would be seeing otherwise in short the death singer is cheep a critical design flaw with the raid that even originally was so easy it didn't even merit rewards from it until enough people complained about it.
