Running a ROC strike isn't hard guys. If both of the other players rush, you do the same. If both kill everything, you do the same. If they each do one and make you the tiebreaker, then you decide and if the 3rd guy doesn't like it too bad, he should concede to the other 2 people.
Pretty simple really.

This is actually the best advice, if you can be patient enough to follow it. I'm going to try to adopt this approach, I think, now that I know that triggering a wipe will count as a death for the entire team, whether they were alive at the time or not. I will continue to take issue with the 32s that camp waaaaaay the -blam!- up on the far cliffs during the 3-wave vex area, though (I'm talking all the way right, like those cliffs off in the distance). Seriously, guys? We're all 32, they're 26. CMON DOWN. Also, I've noticed people now trying to camp the ramp to the Fallen Skiff in that zone. 3 different times I saw it, and twice the person died. I elected to abstain from running through the entire horde of vex to try and revive them. Seriously? Is it that hard to engage in mid-range combat and stay alive? Sigh. I think I did too many ROC strikes xD

actually i started doing that two draksis nightfalls ago soloing with my hunter. it's not bad idea and you get better line of site ( and you don't have to worry about the hobgoblins on yhe second wave). If you leave one lonely goblin you can jet around picking up ammo ( i also do this with my titan and wizard at the end of the first wave to get over to the skiff ). when i'm playing with friends or a non nightfall then staying down and running with a shotgun or closer ranged weapins is more fun.

Oh no, these were ROC strikes. IMHO, Nightfall is a judgement-free zone, anything (within reason, especially when it comes to cheesing) is on the table, and taking it slow is the name of the game. But yeah. I've seen it far too often in ROC strikes, where I'm standing around on the overwatch area there waiting for the vex waves to spawn, and I look over to my right and see two player icons way off in the distance, up on the rocks. Like, really guys? Cmon down, we're all 32, pretty sure we got this.

Oh I agree. Killing everything isn't an excuse for inefficiency. Standing 100 feet away shooting an icebreaker every 6 seconds helps no one in a ROC strike. Besides, it's much more fun to play with the shotgun buff in Rocs.
Standing 100 feet away shooting an icebreaker every 6 seconds helps no one in a ROC strike.
...Unless it's Devil's Lair, and you're firing at the Devil Walker. I find that keeping the clip at 6, and then firing one shot at the legs, waiting for the 6th round to regenerate, and then firing another single shot, until the neck exposes, then I empty the entire clip into the vulnerable spot. It makes a significant difference in takedown speed, speaking of efficiency :3 Shotguns=love. I have been running with my Judgement VI since it was the first legendary that dropped for me :D (complete with field scout, shot package and aggressive ballistics)

Oh man, if you haven't been lucky enough to get a Black Hammer yet you're missing out, that thing just wrecks devil walkers in no time flat.
-
Didn't have a Gally til yesterday, but now I have all the motivation I need to grind out those normal Crotas :D Hopefully I'll have one soon! I'll be sure to try it out on the Walker, too.

It's a great gun for most situations in general, but it really shines on the devil walker and the tank on Mars. It's so absurd that even when you hit a leg and get an "immune" sign, it still counts as a critical shot and will restore your bullets. Also congrats on your Gally! It's really fun to play with.

Oh man, that's right, I forgot all about the bullet replenish mechanic! God what a sick gun. And the crosshairs/ADS hud is the same as on the LDR, iirc, which is awesome because I love it on the LDR! Many thanks. It was one of those moments where it was like, I was planning on turning in that legendary heavy engram along with all the farmed blue ones... but on a whim I was just like, what the hell, I'll go see Rahool, he hasn't given me anything decent in awhile. I'm sure it'll just be shards, or my sixth One Way Ticket, just like all the ones before it. Well played, Cryptarch, well played. You waited until the exact moment when I gave up all hope. I gotta hand it to you. Already got tracking, hoping to get those delicious wolfpack rounds going tonight! :D
