I've been doing pretty well with Hard Light, Monte Carlo, and the Iron Banner auto. I don't see much of an issue (aside from Hard Light's signature perk being pretty useless). I've won quite a few head to heads with pulse rifle and hand cannon users. It's like now that autos aren't insta-kill, people have no idea how to play with them.

  • Basing how good AR are in pvp to how good they are is kinda stupid AR are practically useless now in PVE as they do no dmg, an that's where the real issue is with the nerf, u can kill anyone in pvp with any gun in the right situation, but when your fighting lvl 30+ mobs with a gun that is doing a 3rd of the dmg it was doing at launch an you have a set time to do it that's why people are think the nerf was not needed

  • Okay. Then I'll add that I've also been doing pretty well with Hard Light and Monte Carlo in PvE, including dailies and weeklies. Again, I believe people are just used to laying waste with impunity, and are frustrated now that they can't. ARs have just become like any other gun now ... You have to aim them (and get head shots). You can't just aim for a general area and hose it down anymore. I'm just as effective in PvE or PvP with an auto rifle as I am with anything else.

  • The main thing with the nerf from pvp to pve is the fact it's like only 1 or 2 extra bullets with AR's now, I recently deleted my 3rd account like I do a lot an played control at level 15 with unmaxed 15 guns an I was still getting 4k-5k games with a lvl 15 green AR, so the nerf hasn't effect pvp to much it's all situation plus other guns are much better ttk, but in pve the time to kill mobs ain't 1 or 2 bullets for AR It's more like 1 or 2 full clips which is stupid the nerfs should only apply to pvp not pve

  • I agree that they should separate the buffs/nerfs between PvP and PvE. That said, the bulk of people crying about the auto nerf are not specifying, and Bungie rarely separates the two. As it stands right now, I haven't found autos to be difficult to use in either game mode. But do I expect them to buff autos again? Yes I do. They're a lot less common to see these days, and Bungie doesn't like low usage numbers. I just hope they either stick to a PvE buff, or don't go overboard on an all-around buff. Reverse the last nerf. IMO, that's plenty.

  • I've never had trouble against auto rifle users. I just got a suros and it just doesn't seem very good now, and I don't like how bungie nerfs weapons due to popularity! I've played in several Iron banners and I've never had trouble against auto rifle users including owners of the suros! The Suros was a powerful weapon but I wouldn't say its OP. Most of the time people in crucible complain about a certain weapon when they should be complaining about the person as they are the overpowered one. Weapons like thorn in the right hands are deadly...in my hands then not so much.
