They look crappy now but i am sure they will be more useful in the new content...i hope...

Yeah. Like how you get a void hc, and shotgun in crota, but nothing in crota has void. So we can say the vog has good guns for crota, and crota has good guns for voc. I'll bet there's a arc auto rifle, a void fusion, solar shotty, and solar machine gun. Maybe an arc rocket launcher.
