They didn't make it, but they saved it. Or shall I say "Nintendo" saved it with NES. Its documented history about the video game industry crash in 1983.

Console cabinets->atari-> dos pc(confusing for most people so mostly ignored) -> ets release on Atari(start of downfall of gaming) -> nes (revival of gaming) Nintendo scrapped what was salvaged by Sony and becomes playstation -> Microsoft sees and joins the console race -> pc becomes relevant again with extreme douchyness attached.
