I thought you get more ammo from any type of heavy drop including heavy ammo crates in pvp. It seems to work like that on the surplus heavies I used.

:).. took me awhile to figure out Surplus in PvP.... does fack all.. a waste of a perk on that particular gun.. ..at least in PvP..
