MIDA multi tool or Obsidian mind?
Need some guidance from my fellow guardians.
Im a big fan of scout rifles, and my absolute favorite class is my Voidwalker. I have only enough stramge coins for one purchase this week and I am torn between this exotic primary or the ability to chain supers. Is the obsidian mind a must have for pro Voidwalkers? What would you choose if you were in my boots? (My IB boots.)
Edit: Bought the helmet. Thanks everybody for the advice, it was fun.

I had the same dilemma on Friday and caved in to buy mida from xur on Friday, love it. But after playing Crota's raid (deathsinger) this Sunday, I received....another MIDA! I should've went for OM, now I am drowned in regret.

1 ReplyYou should of got mida. xur sells three exotic armors a week. I don't know the exact numbers but there are like 26 exotic armors and like 12 sellable weapons. That means that by the odds obsidian mind will be sold in 8-9 weeks while mida will be sold in 12 weeks.

Multi tool - there is a higher chance of him selling obsidian mind again than there is mida + exotic engram's he sells each week so you just gotta wait till he sells helms

You can find another good scout rifle, you can't find an extra Nova Bomb every few kills.

Bad juju. This is the key. Have it? Obsidian mind. Supers like craaazy. Don't? Mida kicks ass. And hasn't been sold as often as OM. And you could even get it from N engram from Xur when he sells them

2 RepliesI owned a MIDA before Xûr sold it and ran around with Obsidian Mind and it's a pretty decent combo. You can aim at the hip at CQC. But in my personal opinion the B-Line Trauma is still one of my favorite scout rifles. I got one with firefly and random bullet in the chamber does crazy damage.

Obsidian Mind is [i]the[/i] Exotic for Voidwalkers. Mida is good, but it isn't the gamechanger that OM is.

5 RepliesPersonally, I'm a huge fan of Obsidian Mind. Combine that with bad juju and a void walker is unstoppable. My favorite build for strikes, patrols, bounties and even some raid scenarios. I would say to go with the obsidian mind. I have them both, never really been a huge fan of the MIDA. I've had like 4 drop but never really used it. Not a huge scout rifle guy, and it never seemed worth the exotic slot to me. But if you truly main your void walker, you can't go wrong with the helm.

Obsidian mind! Nova bombs everywhere! It way better than mida in my opinion. Mida is cool but there are much better scout rifles. Obsidian mind is the best helmet for voidwalker by far

Have you done all the weekly's? And then found the extra coins from mars & the Drayliks mission on Venus? You may be able to get both

Obsidian Mind. MIDA is Tier 2 in PvP but tier 2 isn't tier 1 and thus not worth using.

I would get obsidian mind. I tend to use exotic armors more consistently than weapons.
