I just download all the 360 games so one day I can go back and have like 50+ games to play lol. Just finished dust an Elysian tail (amazing) and gonna do witcher 2 to work up to witcher 3 release. Also, I might do darksiders 2 or I might just leave that for 5 years in the future when I go back to 360 for some "old" games. For xbox one, Child of light looks awesome and I can't wait to play it and ori and the blund forest!!! But that pool crap is another throwaway title for games with gold. I hope they give away a racing game on xb1 soon. (They stopped handing out forza 5 when I got my xbox :( )

  • I've been doing the same. I actually had to pick up a 500gb hard drive because I was running out of space for all these free games.

  • I just delete ones that I know I won't play and delete games I installed but don't play anymore

  • I like having them. It's partly a collector thing and partly because I regret not having my old SNES and 64 consoles and libraries and I want to avoid a similar fate for my 360.

  • I have my 64 and a dozen games or so :P Bought a gamecube out of nostalgia... As far as 360 goes, I have all my disc games. I just deleted the disc install to open up room for games with gold.

  • The only game I was missing from my 64 collection was perfect dark. I had pretty much everything else you could want. Starfox, Shadowman 64, OoT, donkey Kong and the Mario's. About 18-20 games all in all. Unfortunately they got water damaged when being stored in my basement. Totally unsalvagable.

  • That sucks bro... I just realized I might be living in a basement soon and I will have to worry about that now. What do I do??? There isn't enough time!!!

  • I'm not really sure what the best way is to store in a basement if your planning on having them set up. I had mine in just a little Tupperware box thing because they were stored away. Google or YouTube would definitely know though. Or if there is a retro gaming store near you they'd definitely have the answer.

  • They aren't kept out. Right now they are just sitting in a drawer. I guess I will buy a waterproof container as well then. :P

Yeah I'm working on slowly rebuilding my classic stuff. I bought a retron console for the time being. It'll cover NES, SNES and Sega cartridges. I'd like to pick up a GameCube. I miss timesplitters 2

  • Games that were killing me was Gauntlet Dark Legacy and Sonic Adventure 2. Still need to get Sonic.. Might pick up pokemon xd and colosseum while I am at it... That shit is so expensive... To think I sold all my Gamecube shit to Gamestop for like 200$... I have resolved to hoarding all my gaming possessions and never selling anything!!! I'm only 20 so I never played NES or Sega :P I can imagine some of those cartridges cost even more. Although, I was considering a retron in the future. How well does it play the cartridges?

I haven't had a problem yet. Just Google tips on how best to preserve your cartridges. Qtips & rubbing alcohol and things like that. NEVER blow into them. It forces moisture into the cartridge and nobody wants that. The only issue really with the retron is the controllers it comes with have strange button setups that vary game to game. It's hard to explain through text. But it had the inputs for the real deal controllers to be plugged in. So I'm planning on picking up two controllers for each type of console it plays.

  • I might just mod a wii like most people and do the 5000 rom on a hard drive lol. Main problem is I don't have time right now between work and my current log of games... I hardly touch the Gamecube or N64 as it is... By the time I actually want to buy this stuff, cartridges will probably triple in price...

  • Wii mod? What is this that you speak of? I have a Wii that never gets used. I can't stand the motion controller.

  • It's called homebrew or something. Pretty sure you play roms for older nintendo consoles? Never looked into it too deeply. Check it out.
