This is a good idea to add to my initial concept however you would only be separated from a second player for a few minutes perhaps one player has to unlock a door aka a cell to free the second player while the 3rd player opens a door to free them from the starting zone and then all 3 players survive a mini boss and hordes of enemies whist activating a puzzle which opens the larger gate to the boss, the idea could be expanded upon greatly by bungies amazing team.
I think they should come together for the last 3 stages of the raid personally. This is what I would like to see:
1st Stage would be completely solo, a fighting round ending in a small showdown with a big Major (Like Riksis, or Simiks-3).
2nd Stage 3 teams of 2 or 2 teams of 3, which have a showdown with hordes of enemies and a mini boss, a small Ultra (Like a walker or a Priest).
3th Stage the whole team reunites to solve a large puzzle like the jump puzzle or Gorgon maze.
4th Stage would give you the feeling you're about to fight the Raid bosses; The Kell of Wolves and the Queens Brother, giving them some features on appearence that, especially the first time ever you run it, give you the feeling this is the climax of the Raid. Celebrating big time when defeated, walking out of the Arena into the open to, suprise!, bring you the 5th and last encounter.
The 5th Stage would confront you with the real Raid boss. Walking out of the back of the Arena in a somewhat strange looking open space, with a traveler like (and sized) globe in front of you. Your fireteam figures this might be a second sort-of traveler (cutscene implied), until they get too close...
This 'ought to be Traveler' comes alive, and turns out to be Kaliks; Prime Servitor and God of The House of Wolves. An epic deathstar-like showdown follows, and the rest is history!
Edit:
Exotics should be able to drop on stages 1, 4, 5 and from one secret chest placed in Stage 3.
Some pretty good ideas however i feel like the traveller wont be active fully until at least the end of destiny 1, i also feel that the queens brother is too openly evil meaning he will turn out to be the good one and the queen will be the traitor however i do like the ideas you have on my original idea.
I think you don't understand correctly; I mean the prime servitor Kaliks is mistaken by the fireteam for another traveller. The earth traveller has nothing to do with it, you see.
I meant some sort of plot, in which the Queens brother and the kell of Wolves, are just beaten, and the fireteam thinks they just saved a second traveller; I'm talking about a cutscene after the fight with those two.
When they get to close, the supposed traveler comes to life, turning out to be no traveler at all, but Prime Servitor Kaliks!
Which is so big, that they never thought of a servitor god, and mistaken it for some sort of other traveller.
Then the deathstar-like showdown starts, as the real Raidboss showdown!
