I've hit that point, but not for the same reasons. I have some of the worst RNG this game has to offer. I have obtained almost all my exotics from Xur forgo a few that actually did drop since I started playing in November. I just can't continue to play week after week to not see a single exotic drop.
I have three 32s, I run them through nightfall, weekly, Crota NM, Crota HM, VoG NM, VoG HM every single week.....and just nothing man. I have teammates that literally have exotics falling from the sky and it gets demoralizing week after week.

Edited by JHarv: 3/25/2015 9:30:31 PMi feel you. i believe that xur should be changed. take away the exotic hands outs, give him exotic bounties that allow you to work on earning the exotics you WANT. like a list of weekly exotic bounties you have the WEEK to accomplish to get your gjallarhorn, hawkmoon, suros, etc. and make them a challenge, pve, pvp, time, effort, all of it. that'd be a blast. peopel would still be getting all of the gear, but it would be earned. truly. at your pace, on your time. you pick what you want to work on.

Man I 100% support that. I would work my ass off for a hawkmoon, instead of playing the lottery that I always fail at.

agreed. that's where i'm at. just need hawkmoon. no way to get it but roll the dice 100 times and cross fingers. it's demoralizing, and pointless. not only is there no way to get it, there's actually a deterrent (as you said, being demoralized constantly). so not only is bungie failing to keep us engaged, they're actually driving us away.
