Oil companies will always find a reason why some new form of energy won't work.

 • Mostly because the United States is too busy subsidizing Exxon to worry about Tesla.

 • Sadly yes. That's why the people need to demand it and support new companies and ideas as they come along. Like the solar roadways idea!

 • That is a very neat idea. One that should be put into motion right away. But it will be extremely time consuming. But never the less a great idea.

 • Supposedly solar energy is officially more cheaper/stable than energy supplied from coal/oil power plants. Here in Texas, Georgetown announced it's going to purchase 100% of its energy from renewable resources. Solar City is also expanding its operation and allowing individuals to lease out solar panels, $0 down, and any extra power will result in getting paid back. We are also expanding our wind power ^_^, here in my city, the downtown area has a few buildings powered by the wind farm out in West Texas/ Panhandle. Hopefully the state will convert towards renewable energy as time goes on. The only city that I may see a problem with is Houston, the energy capital of the world. Lots of oil companies are HQ'd in Houston. Ironically a few oil companies in Texas are constructing energy efficient buildings lol.
