Buff AR's to Former Glory
The Crucible is overrun with Pulse Rifles, Handcannons, and Shotguns. The majority of AR's are trash, up to the point where they don't even contend with the top five weapons in Crucible. We should see Bungie buff the impact & stability of all AR base stats by 2 - 3%. Range can stay low where it's at. What are your thoughts?
Edit: the current issue is when I engage in an advantageous one-on-one gunfight, built for me to win and lose simply because my weapon is underwhelming. This lets us know that these weapons are terribly imbalanced. Granted I'm not the strongest of players but I understand tact & game flow.

3 RepliesEdited by DISN: 3/27/2015 1:36:42 PMThe new players that are not aware of all the systems in the game (like how damage works and how range/impact affects it, etc.) will be using them, until they get a decent hand cannon/scout rifle and a shotgun that is...! The older players know how much they suck now. There is absolutely no point in using them anymore. After the patch, I've never used an AR again. Even the SUROS, which I was very hyped about when I got it post-patch, didn't make me want to use them more. I put it in the vault as fast as I could after leveling it up.

I don't even use Assault Rifles but I would like to see a variety instead of dying to Red Death or Red Death

Should buff ARs. My first favorite. I still think pulse rifles are trash even with the buff. Those who can't hang in crucible normally use those just to get the upper hand. Leave scouts alone, since most are used for mid to long range. HCs need a slight nerf. Crucible will always be unbalanced unless all guns perform within their designed application. I normally use scouts and HCs. Never pulse. Can't play using it. Pulse rifles require a certain play style to make them work IMO. Seems that HCs can still snipe even with the range nerf, especially TLW when it has the least amount of range of all the exotic HCs. Just boycott the ARs and that'll send a message to Bungie making them think 'why do we design new ARs when nobody uses them anyways?' A buff will come soon, just boycott for the time being.

I used to love using Suros but now I'm stuck using Bad Juju and Oversoul Edict cause that's as close to an AR before the nerf as im going to get. This was by far the worst weapon update. They made ARs useless in PvP and PvE. :(((((((

They were overnerfed. Pulse rifles were overbuffed.

I do think they need a slight buff I do miss not using an ar but not buffed to what they were, I like there is more choice of guns to use now as many have been brought up to spec, but a small increase in damage would make autos better again

I got the IB auto rifle cause I thought it would be fun, I dropped half a clip into someone's head as they ran at me and blasted me with a shotgun. At that point I was dissapointing I didn't get a teabag lol.

Definitely needs to be buffed I rarely touch AR due to the nerf it's ridiculous. They nerfed them so pulse rifles would be used, but now the auto rifles are left in the boat they used to be in.

I don't like the damage nerf for auto-rifles but I do think the range nerf was justified. There should be no reason why Suros Regime should out shoot a scout rifle across the map.

There is no true way to make Crucible equal unless done Halo style where everyone is using the same gun.

They need a buff to be usable in any form, I like my Abyss Defiant and Up for Anything but don't use them because of the nerf.
