Buff AR's to Former Glory
The Crucible is overrun with Pulse Rifles, Handcannons, and Shotguns. The majority of AR's are trash, up to the point where they don't even contend with the top five weapons in Crucible. We should see Bungie buff the impact & stability of all AR base stats by 2 - 3%. Range can stay low where it's at. What are your thoughts?
Edit: the current issue is when I engage in an advantageous one-on-one gunfight, built for me to win and lose simply because my weapon is underwhelming. This lets us know that these weapons are terribly imbalanced. Granted I'm not the strongest of players but I understand tact & game flow.

Suros was mainly over-used for its health regain chance, there were plenty of guns that could compete with its time to kill. Now that Red Death is a worthwhile firearm, Suros and auto rifles in general deserve a bit of a polish.

The only thing that needed to be fixed was the pulse rifles. The auto rifle nerf is/was completely unnecessary in my opinion

Why can't they just "balance" them together like the ars are on the level pulse rifles are now, and this will most likely result in them being used the same amount, but don't nerf pulse rifles, just make them on the same level

They should re-buff ARs to their pre 1.1.1 status. They should also restore fusions, and give a slight buff to Pulse's to compensate. PvP is currently too much of a Shotgun only blink fest. Buffing other weapons will give you a chance to kill shotgunner's before they close range on you.

When they buffed the pulse riffles, they should have left the ARs alone. They would have been an even match I think at that point, and you could run with the one you prefer instead of being forced into going with one over the other. I like ARs but don't use them anymore, not even in pve. I want the Vanquisher with field scout, but is it even worth it till a buff?

1 ReplyAgree. ARs are the most popular guns in just about any shooter and nerfing them was uncalled for. The last Iron Banner was the least fun I ever had in Destiny. I hope Bungie puts them back the way they were along with the Vex. PVE is about using OP guns to take on big badass OP enemies but PVP has caused PVE to be much less fun. I loved Destiny how it was and I hope it's returned to its former state.

5 RepliesHonestly i ran a few matches with the abyss defiant. It was not terrible, was not world beater or anything but was actually doing well. Auto should not be out classing pulses and scouts at range, within mid they are still relevant. Hell I keep hoping for the high impact rare suros to drop in crucible but noooo. Would say be patient and pick your fights.

1 ReplySuros and Vanquisher are still pretty good, but those are the only two I've found to be worth using anymore besides my ALR96 that I got from a ROC strike with Focus Fire perk. Only thing I've noticed so far is that if I go up against a really skilled player I die from Red Death in literally half a second, I have no chance, I'm dead before I can even ADS or pull the trigger, lol
