It being a part of the game internally would have been nice but honestly why do you care so much?
I use it all the time for when I forget things like my ice breaker or black hammer.
Taking breaks in raids can get really annoying. I'm sure you had to wait for someone to go grab heavy synthesis from the tower.
It's faster to switch weapons in game anyways. The app really is just there to save you load time.

Yes, it is annoying to wait for people to go to the tower. It makes me wish they would learn to [i]check their inventory ahead of time[/i] and/or [i]plan ahead[/i]. Maybe it's my military training, but I am forever double-checking what I carry before leaving (in real life as well as the game). I just dislike having a phone app (I even hate that word, it's not a real word) that saves people from their own poor planning, more than I dislike waiting for them to go back and pick something up. I would far rather they train themselves to think ahead and bring void weapons to the VoG, or bring Hive Breaker weapons to Crota. If someone can't plan a video-game raid, what are their chances of survival in real life?
