Did you also notice that if you're killed by the environment in most Halo games (even in the original) it says "you've been killed by The Guardians" (this happens most frequently in Halo 3)? Pretty interesting, and lore significant.
BONUS FACT: Did you know that when you're killed (most of the time) by the environment in Destiny, it says "you've been killed by The Architects"? Hmm. I wonder what significance that has, this time around...?

The architects are the ones who designed the map. They are the ones who killed you. One time when running sword I died while hitting crota. It said I was killed by a Hive boomer, but also said the architects.
