Agree. I don't really care about PvP here, but in Battlefield changed my game play completely around once I started judging my own play and changing my mistakes.
Agree. It's nothing like PvE. PvE may as well be the training grounds for PvP, while PvP being the proving grounds for "true skill". When you play PvP, it's best to watch videos of people playing and calling out the mistakes they make, because chances are you will run into various situations with ready to make action happen. -Halo- was perfect. Theater mode would allow you to review your own games and let you judge what YOU COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY.

Lol too boring. Idk about other players but I have better things to do with my time then watch videos of other players actually playing the game lol

If you want to improve your skill, this is one vital tip is all. To each their own.

I understand what you mean. I just don't understand why players have to spend time watching others play. Learn stuff on your own IMO. Back in the day players learned stuff by trial and error. Nowadays players google/YouTube videos of others doing stuff then copying. Its just mimicking nothing more nothing less. Pretty soon players won't have to play anymore either. Just buy a game and watch others play lol
I understand what you mean. I just don't understand why players have to spend time watching others play.
You don't have to spend time watching others play. That is simply choice. You watch your friends, siblings, relatives.. etc. Play, correct?
Learn stuff on your own IMO. Back in the day players learned stuff by trial and error.
I, personally have been playing videogames since I was 7 months old. I'm 22 now. I have learned a lot on my own. I completely agree with this. But now, since you're a gamer like this. You should have a particular set of skills that could benefit in helping others improve their skill. "Where would you be without the help from others?"
Psalm 3:14 (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nowadays players google/YouTube videos of others doing stuff then copying.
Yes and no. I mean, if you have never raided before on Crota, or keep getting removed because the lack of knowledge, at least there are resources out there for people to obtain and learn the experience passed on from others. (Kind of a life trait there.)
Its just mimicking nothing more nothing less. Pretty soon players won't have to play anymore either.
Depends on who you are to mimick what you see.
Just buy a game and watch others play lol
I have done this for friends, and they have done this for me. I suppose it's a bit different for you when gaming has been involved with my life and a coping mechanism to allow me to improve my social skills, ability in leading small teams with precise action(s), and other various brain improvements. Eye coordination, reading, vast vocabulary, etc etc.

All valid points.

Edited by LONE RONIN2012: 3/22/2015 9:54:57 AMI am trying to learn bolt action aggressive recon sniping in Battlefield. From that I watch a lot of Sgt Enigma and Lucky Skill Faker, and some Jackfrags videos on You Tube for tips and play style. Lucky Skill Faker actually has several videos on sniping. Again, I really couldn't care less about PvP in Destiny, as PvP is only something I do when I need marks or bounties, but from my BF experience, in PvP, I understand and agree with OP. I am sure Destiny has players making the same videos players can learn from.
