Together several of us head out to the next set of ruins. It's a little after midday when we get there. Surrounded by dense jungle the air is heavy, but the ruins are surprising intact and viable.
"Whatever creature prowled this area earlier must have moved off a bit. Still should keep an eye out. It may or may not return."

"Deal." I walk up to a monolith having taken enough plant samples and lightly touch the surface. The ruins do not move and slowly I am coming to understand them. Using a technique called Lore the monolith and area surrounding light up a faint purple and I close my eyes.

"Not sure about wildlife, but this is the quickest and most efficient way to understand this place. It's taking a bit longer than usual though. The light is the ability feeding on the area.
