#1 alone is the reason it won't be sold again. If Xur sells it he's basically selling the goal of the game

  • If you think people getting a gjallarhorn will stop them from playing this game not the lack of content you are an idiot

  • Well that's my theory. Have fun playing your content-lacking Destiny without Gjallarhorn then 'cause Xur isn't going to sell it ever again

  • Ya who told you he's not, your friends cousin sisters brother who works for bungie? Like I said your logic is retarded and makes no sense to quit destiny because of one gun

  • No my common sense told me. This is how things in this world works. It's not about pleasing the gamers. It's about getting players to log as much hours as possible into their game. Why? Money of course. If Xur sells Gjallarhorn there would be a bigger player drop over time than if he didn't sell it

  • the 5 ppl i play with constantly dont go on the forums, play jsut so can hang and bs, and dont know the list of exotics out there. no one in the group has gjallarhorn or even care about what drops. we play to play. its a game.

  • if the game is already bought, how do they still make money off the hours i play?

  • And what proof or research do you have proving that people will quit if gjallarhorn is sold? I need it but it would not make me quit if he sold it

  • Are you saying Gjallarhorn will be sold again?

  • Why wouldn't it this game has at least another year or more of time left before it dies it eventually will be

  • Then why do you think Bungie isn't getting Xur to sell Gjallarhorn? Why was it only sold week 2? Don't they want to make their players happy? Think of this as a business decision. To sell or not to sell. Which decision will get more hours logged in the long run?

  • The goal of the game is to keep things interesting for you, to make you keep playing. For the vast majority of players, probably almost all, they will play if there's enough content. Gjallarhorn is definitely not the end goal for most players. By your logic, people would get something awesome and fun to use, then quit. Instead of, you know, actually using it and having fun.

  • Well sure they'll use Gjallarhorn for a while after they get it. But what do you think will make a person play longer? A person whose still chasing the Gjallarhorn? Who plays Nightfalls and raids 3 times a week in hope of getting it? Or the person who already has Gjallarhorn. Who will stop playing Nightfalls and raids after a while because they already got what they want

I'd assume they'd want to raid and nightfall more often, since they had a weapon that would make it slightly more fun and easier to do. This is what people do in other online games with cool stuff. Why would it be different here? People are already quitting in extremely high numbers. How many quit because exotics are too hard to come by? How many quit because Bungie couldn't figure out 80% of all players have actually never done a raid because of no matchmaking? There's TONS of reasons people are quitting in droves but getting a Gjallarhorn won't be anywhere near a top contender, quite the contrary.

  • That'd be true in games like WoW or Skyrim. I forgot what that genre is called. But Destiny doesn't have nearly as much content as those. I mean it just can't. It's an FPS whose priority isn't online. It's hard to make something like that last. The bottom like goal in this game is to set exotic weapons. And once you get the best one there isn't much else to do after you've played the current content 50 times. But that's not to say they're gone forever. Most of them will be back for the HoW expansion

  • Most haven't raided so why do they keep playing? They can't even access endgame but keep playing. You're overreacting. People wouldn't quit over getting a Gjallarhorn.

  • I'm pretty sure Gjallarhorn isn't the only exotic that's been sold only once so far, so that point is invalid. Anyway I don't see why people treat this weapon like a god. No, I don't have one, but I've seen it in action many times. Sure, it's beastly as hell, but personally, if I did have one, I would really only use it in a handful of situations.

  • Bungie has done pretty much everything wrong with this game already, them not having him sell it is another one of those mistakes. 80% or so haven't raided, can't raid or won't raid due to Bungie not having an ingame lfg or matchmaking. Same with nightfall. Those 80% or so not being able to raid or purchase a Gjallarhorn would just quit since they have a near zero chance of ever getting one. Assuming this was their end goal.

  • I can agree with this cause I've dismantled two Gjhallahorns so far, had one pre-dlc, then got a new one when dlc came out so dismantled it then once I got Hunger, I really didn't feel the need to keep it, a bit silly I admit but another one will come soon enough
